About Khukuri

Sirupate is the name derived from the name of grass “Siru”. It is a long and thin pointed grass, so the shape of the khukuri blade is very much alike that of Siru. The blade length with the standardized size is a ferocious weapon with the power of clean decapitation. Purna’s well hand-forged, controlled heat treatment has made the blade strong with long-lasting durability.

Historically this khukuri was used by Limbu and Rai people of eastern Nepal assisting them in their daily works. It was a matter of pride in owning this khukuri for every household. Keeping that legacy alive GGK has reproduced this Sirupate in modern execution with full tang handle to meet the expectation of westerners. Originally this khukuri has rat-tail tang but GGK modified into full tang well epoxied by a gorgeous wooden handle with engraved grooves and ridges for powerful uphold of the blade in the fists. The diamond keeper has secured the buttcap with astonishing looks.

About Khukuri Blade

“Siruparte” a new successor in traditional series showcasing its sturdy exquisite blade in modern execution with stunning mirror shinning looks. A rich heritage built by GGK in modern-traditional aesthetics is now available for order.

A visually stunning razor-sharp blade adorned with a beautiful design of blood groove (locally called Aaunlo Bal) has modified brass inlays and gorgeous looking chho “notch” depicting the symbol of “trident”. The razor-sharp edge is very useful for cutting, splitting, slicing, hacking and much more. The khukuri is best suited for domestic chores because of its small size.

The blade's distinctive forward drop is intended to act as a weight on the end of the blade and make the khukuri fall on the target faster and with more power.

About Khukuri Scabbard

The khukuri comes in well designed brown leather scabbard of the highest quality and has good retention power of holding the blade. Two small knives namely Karda and Chakmak made from high-quality spring steel iron “special feature of GGK” comes with it.

The lanyard hole allows a leather chord/ thong to go through that can be tied through your wrists or belt saving your survival tool from losing even in the slippery and wet conditions. Craftsmanship along with well-designed scabbard on this khukuri is amazing which will leave its owner with no regrets.
